Temple of the Dog was an American rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. It was conceived by vocalist Chris Cornell of Soundgarden as a tribute to his friend, the late Andrew Wood, lead singer of Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone. The line-up included Stone Gossard on rhythm guitar, Jeff Ament on bass guitar (both ex-members of Mother Love Bone), Mike McCready on lead guitar, Matt Cameron on drums and Eddie Vedder providing lead and backing vocals.

The band released its only album, the self-titled Temple of the Dog, in April 1991 through A&M Records. Although earning praise from music critics at the time of its release, the album was not widely recognized until 1992, when Vedder, Ament, Gossard and McCready had their breakthrough with Pearl Jam.

Candlebox

Una de las bandas mas "underrated" de los 90's, jamas sabré el motivo, pero excelente su musica, su lirica y su poder en escenarios en vivo. Quizá haya sido opacadas por las grandes bandas del momento (pearljam, stone temple pilots, nirvana, soundgarden, faith no more...etc). Creo que otra banda que sufrió el mismo problema fue Screaming Trees, siendo de el area de Seattle tambien.

La banda aun teniendo su status "underrated" llego a hacer gigs con Metallica, Living Colour, Rush, The Flaming Lips. Incluso tuvieron el honor de tocar en Woodstock de 1994.

El mejor disco de ellos es su homónimo "Candlebox", el disco es excelente de inicio a fin, en mi caso, todas las canciones me gusta...y demasiado!

Asi que comparto con uds un buen par de temas llenos de feeling puro noventero del buen rock que hoy en dia ya no se fabrica.
